"A healthy Outside starts from the Inside."
Students of the Primary section’s Std IV displayed their culinary skills mixing different ingredients and preparing a ‘Healthy bhel’. The final product was a yummy nutritious mix of sprouts, cucumber, tomatoes, puffed rice, pomegranate, peanuts, spicy and sweet chutneys. The bhel garnished with sev, coriander leaves and pomegranate was a feast to the eyes as well.
Through this activity the students not only learnt to prepare an easy and healthy food, but also understood the benefits of eating healthy. Teamwork was also very pronounced among the children during the activity. It also taught students that nutritious and tasty food can be prepared by using simple and fresh ingredients.
This activity for nursery children develops fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. By tracing each letter, children also begin to recognize letter shapes, a foundational skill for reading and writing. Repeated tracing helps them remember letter forms and build pre-writing confidence.
